Iron Tide Command

Iron Tide Command asks you to think a few moves ahead. You build up a settlement, balance a handful of resources, and plan defenses against waves that get meaner over time. It's slower than most mobile games, and that's the point — this is one you sit with.

The tutorial is a bit dense, and it took a couple of restarts before things clicked. Once they did, we appreciated how many viable strategies the game allows. You can turtle up behind defenses or push out aggressively; both can work depending on the map.

It's not the flashiest game on the list, but if you like the kind of tension where one bad decision three turns ago comes back to bite you, this scratches that itch.
