Big Rush Luck

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Big Rush Luck is one of those games you open meaning to play for five minutes and then look up half an hour later. The core loop is simple: you guide your character through a scrolling course, tapping and swiping to dodge obstacles and grab collectibles that appear along the way. The controls are one-thumb friendly, which makes it perfect for playing while you're standing in a queue.

What kept us coming back is the pacing. Early stages ease you in, then the speed ramps up and the layouts get trickier, forcing you to react faster. The game does a nice job of making a near-miss feel exciting instead of frustrating. When you finally clear a stretch you kept failing, there's a real little rush to it — which, fair enough, is probably where the name comes from.

Visually it's clean and bright without being noisy. Everything reads clearly at speed, so you rarely lose track of your character. Our only gripe is that later stages start to reuse a few obstacle patterns, but the difficulty curve mostly hides that.
