Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga surprised us. Mobile RPGs often feel like menus with a story bolted on, but this one actually wants you to care about its cast. You recruit party members, each with their own voice and quirks, and the writing has enough personality to make the downtime between fights worth reading.
Combat is turn-based with a positioning twist — where you place your characters matters, so it's not just picking the biggest attack every round. There's a satisfying rhythm once you learn each character's kit, and boss fights force you to rethink your setup rather than brute-force it.
The progression is generous with your time. You can make real headway in a single sitting without feeling like you've hit an invisible wall. It's the rare mobile RPG we kept playing after the review was done.
